*RMC13005 - 11/15/2007 - ROPEDRVR E-mail processing fails if the data * in the "(#" control lines contains the IPDS/ * PPDS Escape Character. * *Problem Summary: * If the "(#" control lines in an SMTP printer report data contains * the IPDS/PPDS escape character, ROPES does not parse the entire * line, but instead truncates the line at the escape character. As * a result, the "(#" string will not terminate with the required ) * character and the transmission will be terminated. There is no * recovery for this. * *Symptoms: * The printer task logs message ROPES0043 and terminates the print * task with message ROPES0025. The SMTP report cannot be processed * and all e-mails starting with the message that contains the * escape character cannot be sent. * *Temporary Fix: * The following zap will correct this problem. The zap applies to * module ROPEDRVR at the V13 base level, which will bear the eye- * catcher time stamp of 06/29/07 12.17, and to the RMC13003 fix * level, which will bear the eye-catcher 09/17/07 11.09. * NAME ROPEDRVR ROPEDRVR VER 21CE 4810,DB7C VER 22A2 0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000 VER 22B2 0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000 REP 21CE 47F0,818E REP 22A2 D503,D4B9,3920,4770,819C,9200,DB89,4810 REP 22B2 DB7C,47F0,80BE * *Permanent Fix: * This problem will be corrected by PTF in the next release of * ROPES. * *End Of Document
